Arrive Alice Springs

On arrival at Alice Springs Airport, make your own way to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 12.00pm). Visit the historic Telegraph Station, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the School of the Air and the Alice Springs Reptile Center.

Alice Springs – Uluru Sacred Sites & Sunset

This morning, travel through the West MacDonnell Ranges. View Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Center, then tour the base of Uluru and take the Kuniya Walk to the sacred Mutitjulu Waterhole. In the late afternoon, witness the remarkable color changes of Uluru at sunset while sipping sparkling wine.

Uluru Sunrise – Kings Canyon

Witness a magnificent Uluru sunrise, then continue to the 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. On the way enjoy panoramic views of the south side of Kata Tjuta from the dune viewing platform. Explore Walpa Gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. This afternoon, travel to Kings Canyon.

Kings Canyon – Depart Alice Springs

Make the rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon and be rewarded with marvelous views of Watarrka National Park. Or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon creek bed, a shady, easier walk. Your Short Break concludes back in Alice Springs.
